Hi all,

My name is Guy and I only found out about Championship Soccer two days ago. This really isn't a good thing, because I missed so much already of this great game. I only played two times now, but I know I will keep loving it as it is the combination of my two favorite soccer games ever, namely SWOS and CM. Sorry for the creators of yoda soccer, but I'm going to spend my time to this game and not yours, just because in this game there is already everything I searched for a long time (for example an offside rule and many more).

Main concerns I have with the game (for the moment) are the following:
LACK OF PUBLIC RELATIONS. When googling for this game, the homepage do not appear. Even when looking for SWOS or CM, no relation to this game is made, so this certainly need to change. Moreover, the forum contains many old threads with broken links and so on. I guess the most important ones should be kept, the other ones should be deleted. Finally, the homepage could be nicer than it is now, including some of the highlights given in the forum, or more pictures, and so on.
GAME CONTROL. This problem is probably just now because I do not have much experience in playing, but nevertheless I find it a little bit annoying that always the wrong player has the number above his head. I found out that pushing the fire button make sometimes the change of player, but this do not work always. I would suggest to give the number (i.e. control) to that player which is closest to the ball. An auto-pass thing would be good (like in SWOS), but is maybe not necessary as in real life the ball do also not go directly to the player it's directed to.

I will further play and probably raise some more concerns which may be solved in the new version. I also want to stress that I do not need 3D matches. How far is the new version? When will it be released?

I really want to help making this game more known to the great public, so if I can help by being administrator of the forum, by up****** the website, by anything else, please let me know. The only price I ask is to remain doing your great work. And if I can freely help in this way, I would be honoured.

Best regards, Guy

about the game control:
you played as a "playing coach" i guess?
in that mode you switch players by pushing the key AND the game automatically switches to the player who touched the ball at last.
i never experienced any different situations. allthough this system may look a bit odd sometimes its very handy and useful, its pure fun to make some really stylish attacks, its all about practice

EDIT: oh and i totally agree to you, i would gladly do any work for the site or do the repetetive stuff in the game ( creating data, gfx, sounds or w/e ).
just gimme a shout mister osswald and im there, such a good game deserves help =)

Hi,

After another evening of Championship Soccer...

I was wondering why only a single button is used as fire button. Wouldn't it be nice to have a second button which makes the player lobbing the ball instead of keeping it on the field. I experienced that it is sometimes hard to reach a player standing far away, just because another player is standing in between (which is of course logic, it's soccer). But in real-life soccer, players do lob the ball over that player to reach the right player. Keeping the fire button pressed helps a little, but not always.

Just an idea. Guy

You have to push the stick (gamepad, keyboard, whatever) in the opposite running direction while keeping the button pressed (!) (while the player is still running with the ball) to lob the ball.
