Well, what this match form actually does? On other thread, Andreas said that teams have sometimes a good, and sometimes a bad day, but what does that really mean? I have noticed that you usually get low forms ( lowest what I've seen is 66% ) when playing against much weaker opponents in Cup or international matches, and they usually get a boost ( from 110% to 120%). On normal league matches, it's usually for both teams quite equal, or home team maybe gets a little advantage. So back to my question, is this somehow affecting player abilities? Meaning like if you have stamina of 100, and match form is 80%, your stamina is 80 in that match? Also I'd like to know what things cause those low forms? Maybe team morale, confidence and recent games, or is it just made to even out those really easy matches? I'm okay if that's just to even out games, but sometimes it's getting a bit over the top: Faroe Island defenders sure need a boost for second half if they are losing 7-0 to prevent a total massacre, but I'm laughing my a** off when their attackers are outrunning german defenders, especially when those attackers are running with the ball :D

Both teams get a random value before the match. If the value of the stronger team is higher than the value of the weaker team, both values become 100%, then usually the stronger team should be able to win. So the chance that a weak team gets a boost is only 50%. And usually it are small boost values. Often the boost can be higher, that's true.

Usually it simulates the effect that weaker teams often try to do everything to beat the top teams. For example against ManU every team play if they are playing for their life ..

The idea behind is the following: I've played a season together with my cousin with an Italian top team. Against the weak teams the matches were boring as hell because we were much better and it was easy to win. There were only 3-4 matches in a season that were really hard - against the other top teams. Against weak teams we won every match. But in reality it's slightly different. This was the idea and motivation to implement a match day form. Because from time to time it can happen that weaker teams beat top teams. Without a match day form the chance was about 0% ;)

The match day form influences all skills of the team's players, some skills a bit more, some skills a bit less.

I agree totally. It makes the game more interesting, but in those important matches, there match form should be equal for both teams. I think that every player concentrates really well before cup finals or world cup or etc, so maybe in that kind of matches match form should be 100% for both teams. In the finals defenders could even get a little boost, because usually those finals are pretty low scoring. And like I thought before, maybe home team should always get a little bonus when rolling those random values.

This match form is really nice feature, but sometimes it just feels that maybe it should be tuned down a bit, since it's gets really irritating to constantly play with 80-90% against 100-120%. I mean it could easily ruin your season, since with another human player it's really easy to score and get assist, but if you are playing alone, you really need help from your computer teammates. So in my opinion that 50% is a bit too high value if there's only one human player in game. It's average of 17 league matches per season in germany, and as well it could be 19 in other major leagues. I think playing underdogs half the season is a bit too much if you play in a top team. Maybe setting the minimum to 90% and maximum to 110% when both teams play in the same division, should do the trick, but when your form is 75% and opponent is 125%, that's a bit too much. There's just no way to win...
