Button to play with

I have a small problem, on my gamepad it's the 'start' button that I have to play with, that's a bit annoying to play with that button. Could it be possible to be the button that you press on your controller that you play with when you assign the control of the player?

Andreas is this possible to add in a patch or does that take too much time to implement?

I could allow some more buttons, that's possible. But I cannot write a configuration, because some gamepads buttons are used for the Amiga joystick interface.
