View Full Version : position change during single player career
Andreas,
I noticed that once a single player career is on the way, it is possible to change the position you play. That is you can change the side you play on without a problem, when you edit the player. You can also change the position, but that doesn't reflect in the squad settings. You are still shown on the position you started on. Is it possible that you need to wait longer for a position change to show, or update, or is it just not possible to change your position (i.e. from a midfielder to a forward), once the game is on the way? Thanks
Regards
Bartek
:?: Yes, Andreas, a very good question and I do not think anyone has asked this yet . . . Can you change a player's position in a career (example from F to M , etc.) once a career is begun ? Thanks as always for your reply!

Looks like it doesn't work at the moment.. Something to keep in mind for the next update.
If a team signs you is because they need a specific player in a specific role so i think is better that you can`t change your role in career mode.
what do you think about this andreas?...i think is more realistic can not change your role...

I think it's difficult to say. I think changing the position is better than restarting the whole career if you want to try something else...
if you want to try different things you can create a new player....is just my opinion....
what about to change the position just in free career mode?(in realistic mode no)
Thanks

That's true.
Some players do change their position over their career... I can think of many attackers that later end up as Attacking midfielders... Not many goalies ending up as attackers though... maybe that Mexican Goalie that was also attacker in his club hehe

Andreas,
I think it would be good to include in next update the ability to change a player's position in career mode. Here is my reasoning:
Example: Perhaps your player is capable of playing in either midfield or forward (attaquant) but let's say that he is not receiving much playing time in MF so he wants to change to F either on his present team or maybe he can get transferred to another team where he will be playing F .
I am sure this happens in real life, maybe not everyday but it is a possibility. You see, it is a good feature to have.
